Terri A. Johnson�s professional career has been
dedicated to advocating for social, economic and racial justice. She is the Vice President for Public Policy
Reform & Advocacy for the Jane Addams Hull House Association.
Ms. Johnson�s experience includes:
- Working with organizations and agencies to
develop inclusive, anti-racist programming, professional training
initiatives and projects;
- Facilitating cross-cultural dialogues and
providing professional development training on issues of diversity;
- Managing several research projects including
the Foundation�s most recent effort, Minding the Gap: An Assessment of
Racial Disparity in Metropolitan Chicago;
- Co-convening Women of the
Millennium,
a process designed to create a more inclusive and diverse women�s
movement; and
- Designing
public education series on critical social issues.
Ms. Johnson is Chairman of the Board of
Directors of the South Side/Wabash YMCA, a member of the Steering Committee of
the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform, a member of the Center for Working
Class Studies and a former member of the Board of Directors for Work, Welfare
& Families.
