Are you interested in contributing to a cohesive food system
vision for the city of Chicago? Do you
want to incorporate more food-based activities into your work? Than please consider attending the
Neighborhood Council Strategic Development Workshop
Neighborhood
Councils were established within the Chicago Food Policy Advisory Council to
develop policy recommendations that are informed, if not formulated, by the
very groups doing food-related work within Chicago's Neighborhoods. The Neighborhood Council Strategic
Development Workshop will provide an opportunity to connect community partners,
organizations and activists around creating more comprehensive and supportive
food policies for our city!
Thursday, March
17th will begin with FamilyFarmed's Farm to Fork morning lineup of breakout
sessions, panels and speakers (including Will Allen of Growing Power). In the afternoon CFPAC will facilitate the
Neighborhood Council Strategic Development Workshop. During this workshop, participants will have
the opportunity to organize as regional food policy councils, learn how to
incorporate additional food policy components to their current work, and set
goals and objectives for the upcoming year.
Attending the
Neighborhood Council Strategic Development Workshop would provide you with a
great opportunity to connect with other community partners across the city of
Chicago around food policy issues and do some strategic planning for the year
to come!
