Pete Bassett is the National Sales & Marketing Manager of Organic Prairie Meats, a Division of the farmer-owned CROPP Cooperative which also includes the Organic Valley brand, selling organic meat, dairy, produce, eggs, soy and juice. He has over 25 years experience in the meat and food industry and is leading the Organic Prairie brand through sustainable farm-gate pricing and long-term strategic channel development of foodservice, retail, ingredient, and export sales.
Growing up as a third generation in the family�s meat processing business, encompassing production from slaughter and processing to old world sausage making, has given Pete a foundation of what it takes to produce high-quality meat products. He knows first-hand the importance of how quality care and feeding of the animals not only creates healthy, comfortable, stress-free lives for them, it also results in very delicious, healthy meat products for people.
Pete graduated from Rasmussen Business College in Business Management. He spent many years as a meat judge for the Minnesota Meat Association. Pete resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota and enjoys outdoor activities.
