Julie Mikkelson is the Director of the Special Nutrition
Programs (SNP) for USDA Food and Nutrition Service�s Midwest Region.
USDA�s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) leads the Nation�s feeding and
anti-hunger efforts. FNS� mission is to increase food security and reduce
hunger in partnership with cooperating organizations by providing children and
low-income people with access to food, a healthful diet, and nutrition
education in a manner that supports American agriculture and inspires public
confidence. FNS offers 15 nutrition assistance programs.
