Karen C Stark, was born in Minnesota and raised on a third generation 160-acre family dairy farm outside of Eyota. Pulling weeds from the family garden was an expected chore; along with canning and freezing responsibilities to have food during the winter months. She started the Geneva Green Market, NFP to promote locally grown food in the Fox River Valley and to become a local food policy group. The group started the Geneva Green Market in Geneva, IL, where everything is grown within 200 miles of Geneva.
