As Mixologist-Sommelier for Chicago�s Nacional 27, Adam Seger takes a chef's approach at the bar to the point of being dubbed �The Charlie Trotter of Cocktails� by New City and a �Spirits Guru� by Food & Wine and Fast Company Magazines. Seger is a Certified Culinary Professional and Advanced Sommelier as well as an alumnus of world-renowned restaurants TRU, Strasbourg�s Michelin Star Chez Julien and The French Laundry.
He is currently writing his first book �WHET: Drink Like You Eat� with contributor Mike Nagrant of the award-winning Alinea cookbook. He is charter Ambassador of the Illinois Chapter of The US Bartenders Guild and is on the Executive Board of Sante Magazine's Annual Symposium.
His award-winning passion fruit-blood orange-pomegranate margarita mix 'El Corazon' is available coast to coast along with the 'Yuzu Luxe Sour' he created with The Perfect Puree of Napa Valley for the launch of their Beverage Artistry Line. His herbal bitters were named best in the country at Tales of the Cocktail and will be released nationally by TRU Organic Spirits in Spring 2010.
His liqueur amaro, 'hum' a 70 proof hibiscus-ginger-cardamom-kaffir lime botanical spirit made at Illinois' North Shore Distillery was awarded 94 points by The International Review of Spirits and called "A brilliant flavor creation that could become a mixologist's staple." Launched in Chicago, hum will next launch in London in mid 2010, then in key US cities via Preiss Imports.
Adam lives in Chicago and most enjoys traveling, entertaining friends and teaching people how to sabor Champagne using nick nacks from around the house.
